The team has completely rebuilt Divi to make it faster and much more powerful. For a while, the new Divi 5 was only available for new websites. But now, it’s ready for everyone!
This Public Beta includes the crucial tool you need to update your old sites: the Divi 5 Migrator.
- It can switch all your old Divi 4 content to the new, faster Divi 5 format.
- It lets you start using all the amazing new features they’ve added over the past year.
Why You Should Test Divi 5 Now
By testing this Beta version, you help us find any small problems before the final release. This ensures that the official launch is as smooth as possible for everyone. Plus, you get to try out some game-changing new tools, like:
- Flexbox and CSS Grid: These are new, super-easy ways to perfectly arrange and align all the parts of your website. No more struggling to line things up!
- The Loop Builder: This lets you design beautiful, custom layouts for things like your blog posts or products, without needing to change every single one.
- Design Variables: Set your favorite colors and fonts just once, and use them everywhere on your site to keep your design consistent.
Your 3-Step Testing Plan
⚠️ Very Important Warning: Do not update your live website with this test version! You must only test Divi 5 on a test site (a copy of your website). Always make a full backup before you start.
Here is how you can start testing:
Download: Get the Divi 5 Beta file from the Downloads area in your Elegant Themes account.
Install: Upload the theme to your test site (it will replace your current Divi version there).
Migrate: Go to the new Divi 5 Migrator tool in your Divi settings. Click to convert your site!
The tool will tell you if you have any third-party plugins that aren’t ready for Divi 5 yet. If you are not happy with the results, the Migrator lets you easily restore your old Divi 4 content.
