Free Divi Page Layouts: 4 Places to Download and Import

The best free Divi page layouts come from four places: the free giveaways at Divihat, the layout library built into Divi, DiviFlash, and Divi Theme Examples. Pick Divihat if you want a polished hero section, landing page or child theme. Pick the built-in library if you want the widest choice of niches with no download at all. Pick DiviFlash if you like mixing sections from different packs, and Divi Theme Examples if you want full multi-page packs with clear commercial terms.

Free layouts are easy to find and slow to vet. Many are outdated, ship without the CSS they depend on, or carry license terms that rule out client work. One point to clear up first: the layouts are free, but the Divi theme is not. You need an active Divi license to run any of them.

This guide covers what each source gives you, who it fits, and what to check before you download. It closes with the import steps and a side-by-side table. At Divihat we have built websites with Divi for about ten years, so the checks come from real projects, not from a feature list.

1. Divihat free Divi layouts and freebies

What you get

A laptop with a hero section next to three printed page mockups.

Divihat gives away free Divi assets through layout giveaways and email opt-in freebies. The mix has included hero layouts, child themes, landing pages and 404 and coming soon pages. These are the pages most sites need first, so they work as a starting kit rather than a full niche pack.

Freebies change over time, so check the Divihat site for what is on offer now instead of relying on a list that goes stale.

Who it suits

This source fits freelancers and small business owners who want a polished starting point that does not look like every other free download. The hero section is the first thing visitors see, so that is where polish pays off fastest.

Free has limits. When you need coverage for a whole site, the paid library includes 100+ layouts, wireframes, hero sections and child themes. The Standard Yearly Membership costs $79.95 per year and includes unlimited site usage and priority support. Whatever you download, read the license terms in the file before you use it on a client site.

Free hero and landing page layouts cover the first screen visitors see, and paid packs cover the rest of the site.

2. The free layouts built into Divi

What you get

Divi includes a premade layout library from Elegant Themes, free to every Divi customer. It holds around 370 layout packs and close to 2,700 layouts in total, sorted by niche, from restaurants and law firms to yoga studios. You load them inside the builder, so there is no file to download or unzip.

For ecommerce, look for the Online Store, Boutique, Clothing Store and Cosmetics Shop packs. Each pack bundles matching pages, so your homepage and inner pages share one design. Keep in mind that a layout only styles your shop pages. You still need WooCommerce for products, the cart and checkout.

Who it suits

Anyone with a Divi license should start here. These layouts come from the makers of the theme, so you get the safest option for quality and updates. They also remove the biggest source of free-layout trouble, which is a broken or incomplete download.

The trade-off is familiarity. Popular packs show up on many sites, so change the images, fonts and colors before you publish. A layout that still has its stock photos looks like a template within seconds.

Check the built-in library before you search anywhere else, because it is the one free source with no download, no import and no license question.

3. DiviFlash free layout packs

What you get

Three paper cards showing a hero banner, pricing block and footer next to an open laptop.

DiviFlash offers 50+ free layout packs with 300+ page templates and 1,000+ section layouts. Each pack is built for a niche and imports in one click. The large section count is the real draw, because sections are the building blocks you reuse most.

  • 50+ free layout packs
  • 300+ page templates
  • 1,000+ section layouts
  • One-click import

Who it suits

This source suits builders who assemble pages section by section. Take a hero from one pack, a pricing block from another and a footer from a third. That is faster than designing each part and more flexible than a fixed full-page pack.

Mixing has a cost. Sections from different packs bring different fonts, spacing and colors, so set your global fonts and colors first. Also check whether a pack asks for a companion plugin. If it does, you take on one more dependency to update and maintain.

Treat section libraries as parts, and set your global fonts and colors before you combine them.

4. Divi Theme Examples free layout packs

What you get

Divi Theme Examples lists 900+ layouts. Each pack is designed for one niche and comes with 6 to 9 page templates. The site states that every pack is free for personal or commercial use, which matters if you build for clients.

A worked example shows what that covers. A five-page small business site (home, about, services, contact, blog) fits inside one six-template pack with a spare template left over. You still write the copy and swap in your own photos.

Who it suits

Agencies and freelancers get the most from this source. You get full-site packs, a large choice of niches and stated commercial terms. That is a strong combination for a client demo that has to look finished by the end of the week.

You download the files and import them yourself, so you take on the import steps below. Confirm the license note on the pack’s page before you use it on a paid project, and keep a copy of it with the project files.

For client work, pick the source that states its commercial terms in writing, and keep a copy of those terms.

How to import a free Divi layout and compare the sources

Import steps

Importing takes about five minutes once you know where the buttons are. Run it on a staging site first, and take a backup before you touch a live one.

A laptop with an upload window open, next to a tablet with a zipped folder and two code sheets.

  1. Download and unzip the pack. You will usually find one or more JSON files and sometimes a CSS file.
  2. In WordPress, go to Divi > Divi Library and open the Import & Export option.
  3. Import the layout JSON file.
  4. If the pack includes a CSS file, paste its contents into Divi > Theme Options > Custom CSS.
  5. Create a new page, open the builder, choose Add From Library and load the layout.

If a pack includes a Customizer settings file, importing it overwrites your current Customizer settings. Skip it on a site you have already styled. Also check that the pack supports your version of Divi, since older layouts may need adjusting in Divi 5.

Compare the four sources

This table puts the four sources side by side so you can choose in one glance.

Source Size Best for How you get it
Divihat Free hero, landing page, child theme, 404 and coming soon freebies Polished starting pieces Giveaway or email opt-in download
Built-in Divi library About 370 packs, about 2,700 layouts Widest niche choice, ecommerce packs Loaded inside the builder
DiviFlash 50+ packs, 300+ pages, 1,000+ sections Mixing sections One-click import
Divi Theme Examples 900+ layouts, 6 to 9 pages per pack Full packs with commercial terms Download, then import

Directories such as Divilayouts.com list hundreds more free layouts, but they link out to each designer’s own site. License terms, Divi version support and quality then vary from one download to the next.

Start with the built-in library, add a free hero from Divihat, and go to a full pack only when your niche is missing.

Pick one source and start building

Free Divi layouts save real hours, but only if the license fits your project and the pack matches your Divi version. Start inside Divi, since the built-in library needs no download. Add a hero or landing page from Divihat for a stronger first screen, and turn to DiviFlash or Divi Theme Examples when you need more sections or a full multi-page pack.

If free options stop covering what you need, a paid library is the next step. You can see what the Divi Hat membership includes, from premium layouts and child themes to wireframes and hero sections, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Pick your plan. Keep every design.

Both plans unlock the full library. Lifetime pays for itself after your second client site.
